Gutenberg 8.0 continues to improve the new block mode (patterns) function experience. At the same time, other formatting options for subscript and superscript text have been added, and the code editor has been improved to make it look more like the code editor people expect.
To allow users to browse and insert block modes, a new tab panel interface has been added to the block inserter. In order to make more room for the browse mode, the top-level inserter has been redesigned so that it appears as a panel adjacent to the block list when switching.
Inline format options
Previously, the availability of formatting options was limited by the space available in the block toolbar. Contains a collapsible drop-down list of format options, allowing you to add a variety of new format options. This version adds two new formatting options: subscript and superscript.
This version has made some improvements to the code editor: “Code Editor” uses monospaced font for the title, and the editor will be adjusted to the viewport size.
